Zdravo! Hello!

When I am not tossing my child into the air from a half-squat that hurts in more places than it should, I am cooking some delicious food, listening to a podcast, reading poetry, and absorbing all forms of art that is around me - mainly, everything my toddler does.

“Ignore the camera” might be my second most used sentence, right after “Are you hungry?”, which is Serbian for “I love you”.

I am proud of whom I come from. From my childhood in Serbia, I remember the war and struggle, but what I remember so much stronger is humor, hospitality, and togetherness. Oh, and so much good food. The resilience, love and sacrifice of my ancestors is what drives me to pass down the stories to the next generation as a reminder of all that is in them. Coming from an international background, I am quick to identify and value the unique ingredients that create your own beautiful family culture.

I bring warmth, compassion, and genuine care to each of my photoshoots. I love capturing joy and connection in a daily family life.

I also love capturing those tender and hard moments that speak to your strength - whether it is a toddler learning how to share for the first time (that really is a hard new skill to master!) or a family member courageously showing up while battling an illness that leaves them feeling defeated and vulnerable.

Love comes in many forms, and I am here to honor all of it.

“I never knew family photos were a thing until my sisters-in-law started to book them. With that said, I’ve been through a lot of photographers and will say, you are the best!” - Zak
